Monday, July 14, 2008. I know it's been a while, but with school and everything I've been pretty busy. I've crocheted some stuff, but really nothing to post about. This is a kitten I made for my cousin Sasha upon request. The link to the pattern is here. I sort of had trouble sewing the eyes, I don't have any buttons here (I'm in Moscow for the summer) and while I'm sure I can buy some somewhere, I've been trying to get better at sewing. Over all it was a pretty easy pattern, I recommend it.

Wednesday, October 31, 2007. This is a hat I made for my friend Carlos following a modified version of Aa. Rons Hat Trick #3. I used Lion Brand Wool-Ease Thick and Quick yarn and size K hook. I also worked mainly in back loops to create the ridged effect which I think makes the stripes look more defined. I'm pretty happy with how it came out, it was my first striped ear flap hat! I'm just afraid that it will be a little tight on him, but I figure it. Rest up and drink lots. Work in back loops from here on.

Tuesday, February 19, 2008. Cabled Ear Flap Hat - aka I have the flu. Free pattern for a cabled hat on her blog and was totally inspired to make my own. I used Caron Simply Soft in silver for the hat, and it came out really nice, like the yarn wasn't too heavy, it was soft and stretchy. basically perfect.
