Crafty Conundrum: Time has Flown Again
http://craftyconundrum.blogspot.com/2013/03/time-has-flown-again.html
Knitting, Stitching, Crafting, Family and Rangers. Saturday, 9 March 2013. Time has Flown Again. I hadn't realised it was so long since I last posted but I have been busy knitting. Earlier in the year I knitted a rainbow cosy for my little teapot I use at work. Everyone admires when they see it on my desk and it makes me smile because it is so bright and cheery. In November I made a cowl for Em, the first one in King Cole red aran yarn from a pattern. That's all for now, back soon I hope. I was just thin...

Knitting, Stitching, Crafting, Family and Rangers. Sunday, 14 April 2013. We have had a quiet few days at home, in between the quiet days we have been out and about. On Monday we visited RHS Wisley. RHS = Royal Horticultural Society) The RHS is the organisation who also puts on the Chelsea Flower Show as well as several other shows. Spring has been much colder this year which has held the growing season back. Wisley has lots of colour if you know where to look for it. Hope you have a good week Jane.

2 dresses for $2 in 1 hour. Find your skirt - it should have a wide band at the top and a zipper. There are usually bunches of these at Target for a few dollars at the end of the season. Check the plus size for lots of extra fabric for a matching headband or little purse. Have the recipient step into the skirt with the zipper at the side. Pin for size leaving some extra room. Fold under raw edges at top and bottom and stitch. Cut off any loose threads and your done. Happy St. Patrick's Day. We talked abo...

So this is a bit of a recycled idea but it's a favorite with the teachers and not a repeat for any of this years teachers. This. Was the original gift. This year I chose to use fabric in the school colors. I asked the girls to draw pictures with the school mascot a lion (or loin as Maddie wrote). I used printable fabric. And you know it feels nice to back to this space. Links to this post. EMAIL marytreeblogsATyahooDOTcom Hey, do you see something you like? View my complete profile. House On Hill Road.

Getting on the bus. I'm sitting here, the only sound is the coffee pot brewing in the background. Silence. How many times in the last 7 years have I wished for just a moment of peace and here it is and all I feel is lonely. Today I put Maddie on the bus to kindergarten for the first time and I think it nearly broke my heart. Links to this post. Links to this post. The Crafty Contemplative
On St Nicholas Day. December 6, 2017. When my children were younger, this time of year was filled with dread of the inevitable question from well-meaning adults everywhere: What do you want Santa to bring you? A pretty universal holiday question, but a bit of a stumbling block for my kids. Santa never brought them anything. They didn’t believe in Santa. Is Santa banned from my house? Just like I didn’t teach them that Elmo or Mickey Mouse are real. Santa’s a real story. He’s just not real. We join with s...
