Crafty Mum NZ: March 2015

http://craftymumnz.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html

Chloe has taken a liking to playing hopscotch at school and there aren't many things to use as the throwing piece, so I made some for her. These are fabric rectangles, filled with rice and sewn shut, then a piece of plastic is sewn over top of it all so if the ground is wet the fabric and rice don't get too wet. 5 colours - using up my scraps. To show how big they are. Full view - 3 sets of headband holders divided with some places for clips to sit. Rickrack for hanging (love my 3M hooks). She was super ...

Crafty Mum NZ: Headband Holder

http://craftymumnz.blogspot.com/2015/03/headband-holder.html

I was getting sick of finding headbands and heir clips everywhere so I decided to make a holder for all of Chloe's headbands. This decision was made about 2 months ago and this week I finally just made it. I had a strip of pink fabric left from when I made the binding for her cushions, and a nice long piece of pink ribbon which was really all I needed. I used a piece of rickrack so we could hang it on a hook, and the button at the top is purely decorative. Rickrack for hanging (love my 3M hooks).

Crafty Mum NZ: November 2013

http://craftymumnz.blogspot.com/2013_11_01_archive.html

A 5th birthday party - part 1. My little girl is turning 5 this year. Where has the time gone? Of course this has to big a big party so I had to get started early. Thankfully she decided on a mermaid theme early and hasn't changed her mind, so I started with a few crochet creatures to get the creative juices going. The pattern was taken from here. I have since added another octopus, another fish and an orca. Lots of coral and seaweed. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Quiet book - page 3: Shapes.

Crafty Mum NZ: Quiet book - page 5: Flower Pot

http://craftymumnz.blogspot.com/2010/09/quiet-book-page-5-flower-pot.html

Quiet book - page 5: Flower Pot. I felt like I was on a roll with the quiet book and whipped up this page really quickly. This page is to practice with buttons, with the flowers able to be unbuttoned. For the stalks I used some green ribbon which I first hand stitched to the flower, then I sewed the other end to the page after placing them where I wanted them. The flower pot was sewn over all of this. October 21, 2010 8:24 am. Oh I LOVE this! Such a cute idea! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Crafty Mum NZ: Plunket Book Cover

http://craftymumnz.blogspot.com/2010/10/plunket-book-cover.html

Someone once mentioned to me that they had made a cover for their grandson's Plunket Book which I thought was a great idea. They aren't the best looking book and would be so cute personalised. My mum then purchased one at a market and I thought - I can make that.so I have. I started with some stiff felt. I cut a rectangle measuring 33.5cm (1 cm wider than the front and back cover 1.5cm for the spine) x 23cm. I also cut 2 strips measuring 5cm x 23cm that the front and back cover will slip into. Watermark ...

"More Like Home"

Welcome to Crafty Munchies. DROP OFF CRAFT SERVICES. My career in Craft Services began in the late 90’s in Nashville, TN. I still remember my first day, an insurance commercial on a soccer field, like it was yesterday. I felt at home and for the first time knew this is where I belonged. I moved to Atlanta, GA 2008. For several years, I enjoyed working on the American LeMans Racing Circuit in hospitality, where I had the opportunity to work and learn from Chef’s, traveling domestically and international.
