Travel is glam…. June 16, 2013. Travel is glamorous only in retrospect. The other day I was finishing the photo album of our trip and I read the above quote, it got me thinking and I’ve been pondering it ever since…what do you think? I was thinking its a very true quote, from my perspective anyway and I wondered why that was. Why is travel glamorous in retrospect? Day Eighteen – Lest we forget. May 18, 2013. This morning we had to be up early, breakfast early and be on the bus by 6.55am to head out to Pearl Harbour. You have to get there early otherwise you can miss your opportunity to go out to the Arizona memorial as they only take a certain number a day. A lot of the pieces from the top of the boat were removed at the time and used to get the other battleships repaired in order to get them back working. It really is an incredible story.
