Well it's an Alpine Cyclosportive based on a classic Tour de France Stage. Craig's French racing blogspot and Mont Ventoux adventures! Saturday, April 28, 2007. Toady 4 of us rode La Coironese Cyclosportive out in the Ardeche. Well it was only 114km long but the 2300m of ascent should have given us a clue. One of the hardest rides for a long time. In terms of suffering, up there with La Ventoux. Nevertheless, 73rd and a gold medal in a time of 3h 55m 04s wasn't too bad. Thursday, April 26, 2007. This is our new blog for the 2007 season. 120km with 2000metres of climbing involved.

Two weeks ago was La Ventoux Beaumes de Venise Cyclosportive. 175km, 3200m of ascent, over 1000 starters in both the Master and Senior events. Considering I'm still a 80 kilo lardy I should be pleased with my classification of 45 in a time of 6h 21m. Bizarrely 3 minutes slower than my 2005 time when I didn't even scrape into the top 100?
