Deregulation of the utilities makes this all possible. Currently there are 23 states that have deregulated the electricity markets, and many more are yet to come. How does my bill change? You will still receive the same bill from the utility supplier that you are currently paying. You will still ONLY pay the same utility provider that you are currently paying. The only change on the bill is a lower rate for the electricity supply along with the new supplier's name listed in the supply section.
