Visit The Craik Patton House. Upon arriving at the Craik - Patton House, start your tour by visiting the Welcome Center and meeting with a knowledgeable house guide. We will take you over to the Museum for the tour. Tours are informal. Be sure to ask questions! After the tour, feel free to explore the gardens and grounds. Total time of the tour is based upon your interests, but allow 45 minutes to experience the site. 2809 Kanawha Blvd. E. Charleston, WV 25311. Monday- Friday 10 am 12 pm and 1 pm 4 pm.

Whether you are planning your wedding or coordinating a Board retreat, The Craik - Patton House is an ideal setting. Our charming conference room and beautiful grounds are available for event rentals. While the museum level itself is not available for event rental, tours of the house can be included in your rental agreement for an additional fee. Click Rental Agreement below to review. With the westward expansion of the frontier in the early 1800s, residents of the Kanawha Valley, VA began to build finer homes, replacing the common rough-hewn log cabins of the early settlers. James Craik was one of the pioneers of this trend when he built his Greek Revival house in 1834 and, in the style of the day, named it Elm Grove .
