Tuesday, January 1, 2013. In the South, it's good luck to eat black-eyed peas and greens on New Year's Day. Up in the Great White North, it takes a little effort to find the ingredients, but I have succeeded every year we've lived in Canada, and I was especially determined that my boy would start off his first New Year's right.
