Yellowhead Pioneer Residence Society. Yellowhead Pioneer Assisted Living is for people who need at least one of the personal assistance services we provide (either assistance with activities of daily living; bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility, eating or medication reminders or assistance). The tenants must be able to choose and direct their own care, and live safely in their own apartment. Lunch, supper and two snacks each day. Weekly laundry for linens and towels. Social and recreational opportunities.

Yellowhead Pioneer Residence Society. The independent wing has one bedroom and bachelor suites. These are affordable apartments with no services attached. Kitchen appliances are included. Free laundry facilities are available, and there are common areas for tenant use. There are activities open to all tenants of Yellowhead Pioneer Residence such as monthly music and bingo programs. Yellowhead Pioneer Residence Society. Welcome to the Yellowhead Pioneer Residence website. We are a non-profit organization providing independent housing and assisted living for seniors. The residence is located in Barriere, in the North Thompson valley, 40 minutes from Kamloops. The building is next door to the medical centre, and within a block of the pharmacy, grocery store, library, credit union and post office. There 12 independent units and 10 assisted living apartments.
