Poll an Eidhneáin or Doolin Cave. 039;Poll an Ionain' is the anglicised version of the Irish name 'Poll an Eidhneáin', which is said to translate into the 'Ivy Cliff Cave'. Poll translates as hole, cave, etc. and eidhneán translates to ivy. Not sure how the cliff ended up in the translation. It may have been loosely added because of the location of the entrance. A blog of outdoors stuff and trips. Tuesday, 15 July 2014. The new look Stanage Causeway. I took an early morning ride. (Some, including me, would say ridiculously early - I was out of the house by just gone 6am.) The reason for this crack of sparrowfart start was to go and have a peek at the work Derbyshire County Council are doing on the steep section of Stanage Long Causeway. DCC have closed it off to public access during the week until the end of August. Start of the latest section to be resurfaced.

As well as the high resolution mp4files, the GoPro creates some lower res files, also in mp4 format but with the file extension .lrv. If you rename these to have an .mp4 extension, they can be viewed in your favourite media player.
