Tuesday, December 28, 2010. In my discussions with my brother, he pointed out that the new version follows the book more closely. He also appreciated that the movie makers had researched the era and had the clothes, hardware and weapons spot on. He feels it was one of the best westerns he has seen. In my book the 1969 version was better than the 2010. But I liked 1969 anyway. Many will disagree and the coffee hangouts will have many debates. Go see the movie and decide for yourself.
