He was down for a rally in Limerick and stayed with us during pox season this weekend. Sunday, March 25, 2007. I can't believe that I've finally started quilting on my Dear Jane. I've also got the small DJ wallhanging to work on in the living room if I feel like it. I will be a slow learner with the rocking stitch, but find I'm very fast with the stab stitch.with all the seams in the DJ, stab stitch is a good thing to use! Tuesday, May 30, 2006. Quilting is my therapy! The teddy bear quilt top that I am finishing up now is for my cousin's baby Shae. Many thanks to Barbara. For most of the teddy bear blocks (I only did one! Enough for my block's center I've actually broken down and bought some peach fabric for the quilt border and some of the block centers. Monday, May 07, 2007. This is the wildest knitting I’ve ever done! You used a long cable needle (about 4 feet long! Twist it around itself and make a moebius strip, some sort of mathematical thing with only one edgewhen you knit you knit from the center outwards, it is wild to see it grow that way! I got the pattern and technique from books by Cat Bordhi. Is the book I used. I plan to make a moebius felted bowl from it next! Posted by Cathi at 10:35 AM. What a multi-talented person you are. Tuesday 22 May 2007. Well, I'm afraid a tummy bug has kept me from the computer, and knitting , and quilting among other things.But, today I am feeling a bit better. Here I have pictures of my nearly completed quilt, all that is left is batting, backing and binding. I also have a picture of the cutest thing, Cathi made me this fantastic little knitting needle holder, which she knitted in about ten minutes flat and then felted even quicker.Its so handy, I just love it. 26 May 2007 at 05:33. Saturday 3 March 2007. Well, I think I have managed to shake this annoying cold I have had all week I rarely seem to be without a cold these days. Thankfully it didnt stop me from knitting though it did stop me blogging. Anyway, I have nearly finished the Debbie Bliss sweater, luckily Cathi and I managed a couple of knitting afternoons during the week. Monday, February 27, 2006. Yesterday I made a new bag. A smaller version then the last bag. It was a bit to big for me. I made a picture of the front and the backside so you can see how the bag works. On the backside there are 4 hoops so you can turn it into a backpack. Which is just great!
