http://crazyasaloom.blogspot.com/p/recipes.html
Crazy as a Loom. 1/4 cup 2 tblspns sugar. 1 3/4 tsp baking powder. 3/4 cup dried fruit (cranberries) but I have used fresh blueberries. 1/2 cup chopped nuts. ( I like pistachios or walnuts). 3/4 cup buttermilk ( I used milk with splash of vinegar, let sit for 10 min). Heat oven to 375 degrees. I sprayed 2 cake tins with cooking spray. Combine flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Chop butter into flour mixture until it resembles coarse meal. Add berries and nuts. Whisk buttermilk and eggs in a small bowl.

Crazy as a Loom: May 2015
http://crazyasaloom.blogspot.com/2015_05_01_archive.html
Crazy as a Loom. Monday, May 25, 2015. In my effort to purge all the fabric from the barn, and to share some of my stash with the rest of. The fiber world, I have given away a bunch of huge fabric rolls, weighing from 30-50 lbs each. Today the third random visitor, from my Facebook posts on weaving sites, left with a CARLOAD. I have too much, and it needs to go. I have been pacing myself. I guess that is what you would call it. Doing a little of this, and a little of that. What is happening to me? Throw ...

Crazy as a Loom: January 2015
http://crazyasaloom.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
Crazy as a Loom. Saturday, January 31, 2015. Letter to a rooster. I worry about you and your girls in this bitter cold. But what you don't know, is that someone ELSE worries about you, too. Even though that someone professes to NOT LIKE YOU. Imagine that, Bart? Not liking you, with your silky, shiny black plumage, your antics, your incredible, repetitive CROWING? I know, I know, hard to believe. But yes, someone else does worry about you in this cold. Worries about your flashy, red comb getting frost bite.

Crazy as a Loom: C'mon along.
http://crazyasaloom.blogspot.com/2015/07/cmon-along.html
Crazy as a Loom. Monday, July 27, 2015. I'm getting older, and so are my kids, and so are my grandkids. So when they want me to go off on a day trip, I always say yes. Who knows how long they will ask me? Or how long I will be willing? Kids get older and have so many things going on in their lives, and let's face it, spending the day with their Mimi isn't as fun as it once was. So today we went to the Wild Center. In Tupper Lake, NY. We've been there before, but it was a few years ago. The ride home is t...

Crazy as a Loom: August 2015
http://crazyasaloom.blogspot.com/2015_08_01_archive.html
Crazy as a Loom. Tuesday, August 25, 2015. This is one post I wish I wasn't writing. It's just proof .further proof.that we never know what's going to happen. Yesterday Lois and I were having lunch after weaving off the 4x6 rug warp on the Toika, when we noticed Kizzy lying on the living room floor about 8" away from Roy. This was not a normal scenario. Kizzy might be in the same room as Roy, but on the other side of the room, watching him for any sign of movement. L and I both reacted the same way.

Crazy as a Loom: July 2015
http://crazyasaloom.blogspot.com/2015_07_01_archive.html
Crazy as a Loom. Tuesday, July 28, 2015. You may remember the china cabinet I bought second hand. I needed a place for dishes, and a place for crock pots and such in the bottom. The piece is pretty, but dark. I have wanted to change it since day one. So finally, I did. And I love it. It's Annie Sloan chalk paint. In our new, improved studio, where we do what we want, when we want, Lois has started a new project. I helped her get the warp on, but this is her baby. I think she is doing great, don't you?

Crazy as a Loom: Kizzy my Kizzy.
http://crazyasaloom.blogspot.com/2015/08/kizzy-my-kizzy.html
Crazy as a Loom. Monday, August 3, 2015. The summer is flying right by. I can't say that it makes me sad. I love autumn. October is my favorite time of year, and all too short. This heat wears me down. Yesterday was a long, hot day. I was tired. Last night I was in bed by 9:30. My two granddaughters playing in "the blue room", with instructions to turn the light off at 10pm. I went right to sleep, I was exhausted. I awoke to a huge crash, about 4am. He must have been sitting on the bottom of my bed.

Crazy as a Loom: June 2015
http://crazyasaloom.blogspot.com/2015_06_01_archive.html
Crazy as a Loom. Sunday, June 28, 2015. I am not usually a fan of doing consignment, but this spring I was asked if I would like to put my hand woven goods in a new shop in Hadley, NY, and for some reason, I said yes. The ladies who opened it are very nice, and I sensed a lot of good energy, so I decided to give it a try for 6 months. The other day, Lois and I took a ride over there to restock, since some of my things had already sold. Loving my rug hanging over the railing. Thursday, June 25, 2015.

Crazy as a Loom: Moving on.
http://crazyasaloom.blogspot.com/2015/07/moving-on.html
Crazy as a Loom. Sunday, July 12, 2015. I am finding that my attitude about blog posts is similar to my new attitude about my life. L have never been this relaxed, ever. Maybe it's getting older, or maybe not. Maybe it started with the crack to the skull four years ago, or the surgeries that followed. I'm not sure, but I know this, I am no longer driven like I was. Oh sure, I still like to be productive. I still go overboard in ways that make other people raise their eyebrows. But things HAVE changed.
