One Hundred Men Who Care →. Natalie’s Wish Celebration Video. April 10, 2014. In my previous post, I included a link to CRF’s video they shared at the Natalie’s Wish Celebration last weekend. It was a little buried within my long-winded post so I wanted to dedicate a post to share the video again. It’s a great peek inside the life of cystinosis and touches briefly on current research. I’m particularly fond of it because our family is featured! I think they did a great job of capturing some of our daily l...

Natalie’s Wish Celebration Video. Easter Fun →. One Hundred Men Who Care. April 16, 2014. My brother-in-law, Scott, is a member of a Boise group called One Hundred Men Who Care. It’s simple, this fine group of men care about our community and gather together quarterly to provide money to local charities. Here’s the gist of how it works. Quarterly 1 1/2 hour meeting. Members submit their charity. Submitted charities all go into a hat. 5 names are selected. Here’s a little video clip. Address never made pu...

June 18, 2013. Yes, I’m still here! I just happen to be drowning in packing and boxes right now. We are hip deep in preparing for our move and it’s taking up all of our time. Any free time we have is being spent with friends and family! Fortunately, things have been going smoothly so far and I feel relatively calm. We are officially leaving town on July 6th and that date is coming quickly! We’ve been packing like crazy people and are about 80% done already. We’ve still been able to squeeze in fun b...

Newer posts →. California Trip Part 2: Disneyland and California Adventure. May 13, 2013. It’s a little ridiculous how long it’s taken me to write this post. Oh well! Our trip to Disneyland still deserves to be documented. Someday I’ll forget all the wonderful memories created during our three days at the Happiest Place on Earth and will need to refer back to this post to remind me! Waiting in line for the “scary” Snow White ride. Haddie loved it! Stella, not so much. We hung out at the park pretty late ...

A Girl And Her Blog: The Art of Loneliness
http://jalainer.blogspot.com/2012/06/art-of-loneliness.html
A Girl And Her Blog. Wednesday, June 27, 2012. The Art of Loneliness. The quiet is so loud it rings in my ears. Roaring with its nothingness. Alone in my home, the rest of the world slumbers beneath heavy lids. Solitary as most my nights are. Tonight the barrage of campy TV shows, gripping tales between the covers of my latest book, or tours of never-ending internet entertainment cannot distract me from the e. Through the small series of questions. Did distance make the heart grow weak? In an attempt to ...
