Angry Man Speaks: Mercury Rising
http://angrymanspeaks.blogspot.com/2012/04/mercury-rising.html
A colorful and brutally honest view on all things reality. Friday, April 27, 2012. Back to last night's show. GREAT theme night with Queen, and seeing Brian May. And Roger Taylor still alive and kicking is pretty awesome. The medley at the front end of the show was miles better than the usual tripe they do on Thursday. So how do the performers fare- did they rock us, or did they cave in to being under pressure? Mark, what the hell are you smoking? Are the judges being paid off by the Reverend Leadfoot?

Angry Man Speaks: Silly Sing & Swing
http://angrymanspeaks.blogspot.com/2012/05/silly-sing-swing.html
A colorful and brutally honest view on all things reality. Thursday, May 10, 2012. Silly Sing and Swing. Last evening's two hour extravaganza marathon Idol event was pretty entertaining and certainly had its share of stupendous performances. However, these two hour monsters are becoming more about the show, rather than the singing. Nights, not Wednesdays. That just turned out to be a huge marketing gimmick for the movie, simple as that. It is my opinion that they ran a rehearsal and still came up...Holly...

A colorful and brutally honest view on all things reality. Wednesday, May 23, 2012. At long last, we have an Idol show that felt well-timed and without all the fluffy nonsense. Of course, we'll get plenty of that tonight. On the Results Circus. In any event, on with the show. Three songs for each. First round is Simon Fuller's choice, Second round is singer's favorite past song, and Third round is what their first single would be. Here's how it played out:. Okay fair enough- she gets an A on this one.

http://angrymanspeaks.blogspot.com/2011_07_01_archive.html
A colorful and brutally honest view on all things reality. Monday, July 11, 2011. Worldwide Kitchen: Waxing Brazilian. We're on to the letter "B" in our trip around the world of international taste travels, and we have landed in the country of Brazil. We also looked at Belgium and Bolivia. We thought Bahrain might be a little tough to tackle, so we eliminated that off our list early on. Belgium finished a close second though! In this go-around, Lauri and I wanted to make sure the ingredient list wasn't t...

Angry Man Speaks: 80's - Stuck in Idol
http://angrymanspeaks.blogspot.com/2012/04/80s-stuck-in-idol.html
A colorful and brutally honest view on all things reality. Thursday, April 5, 2012. 80's - Stuck in Idol. Last night, it was 80's Night on Idol, so naturally being an 80's kid, I was excited by the prospect of actually having a good show, maybe even better than last week's. Well I have been wrong on a few occasions, and my expectations got their @ss kicked last night. Then the judges come out, and I must say Randy is dressed even more clown-like than normal. Let's get to it- leading us off last night was.

A colorful and brutally honest view on all things reality. Sunday, October 2, 2011. Worldwide Kitchen - Cater to the Equator. Unlike the last few countries, which had giant recipe repositories online, Ecuador failed to land us a nice one-stop shop for ideas. We had to find and combine several websites to come up with our menu du jour. Having too many websites bookmarked can cause havoc, which I will explain later. The cuisine of Ecuad. Hey, what's for dinner? Fuhget about it. Since there was no way o...

A colorful and brutally honest view on all things reality. Thursday, May 26, 2011. Is there a Priest in the House? The 11th season of Idol is in the books… What have we learned and what have we taken away from this season? The Finale show last night was superb, as they have been the past several seasons. If you don’t choose to watch the show weekly, you should catch the finale anyway. Once again, the big hitters showed up to perform (mostly) live and again, we have some amazing duets and lots of surprises.

Angry Man Speaks: April 2011
http://angrymanspeaks.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html
A colorful and brutally honest view on all things reality. Thursday, April 28, 2011. I’m back after being in hiatus for a week… thanks for being patient. I actually finally watched last week’s shows and was glad to see James knock the snot out of the competition and relieved that they finally put Joey out of his misery. I also thought Haley did Adele proud with her rendition of Rolling in the Deep. So we start the performances with the gratuitous Jimmy Bovine interventions, along with another guest. ...
