Champions in Sixth: June 2015
http://championsinsixth.blogspot.com/2015_06_01_archive.html
Friday, June 26, 2015. This is my first ever post on my new blog! I am so excited to share what I created for the new school year. Yes, I am already working on things for next year. There is always something to work on. I was inspired by Create. Cook. Teach. On a reward system that April uses in her classroom. You can find her post on rewards here. Talk about motivating our students and then some. On Pinterest about her Reward Binder, I had to make one too! This is such an easy, cheap way to reward stude...

The Rosenthal Project(s): The Camo Room
http://rosenthalproject.blogspot.com/2012/12/the-camo-room.html
Thursday, December 20, 2012. Project #17: The Camouflage Room. One of the bedrooms upstairs had a very expensive hand painted wall. Unfortunately it was camouflage, while the other three walls were each a different color within the camouflage. This room was quickly referred to as the camo room for obvious reasons. The camo wall colors didn't really go with the rest of the house so we decided to paint them. In anticipation for one day having a little one we created a nursery themed room. August 27, 2010.

Monday, October 29, 2012. One Project Closer to Moving In. Project #10: Painting the Exterior of the House. Lucky for us we happen to have a house painter in the family! Thanks to all of our manual labor helpers including my cousin Will who stopped by for a few hours to lend a hand, we really appreciated it! Thursday, October 25, 2012. Painting, Painting and More Painting. Project #9: Painting of the Laundry Room, Hallways, and Bathroom. I bet you can't guess what color the front door was? The laundry ro...

Wednesday, December 26, 2012. The Man Cave Final Phase. Project #19: The Basement Phase III. Matt then installed the new plumbing lines and poured back the floor. Followed by sheetrocking the storage closet under the stairs and installing the 2x stud walls. Ha Ha not really it is the mold resistant sheetrock. Then Matt poured the shower pan. This consisted of framing it out of 2x studs then installing the waterproofing barrier and pouring in the floor of the shower sloped to the drain. Next Matt installe...

The Rosenthal Project(s): The Man Cave Phase II
http://rosenthalproject.blogspot.com/2012/12/the-man-cave-phase-ii.html
Monday, December 24, 2012. The Man Cave Phase II. Project #18: The Basement Phase II. Once Phase I of the basement was completed we took a little break before tackling Phase II which was the bar. Matt decided to add a new skill to his resume and attempt to built the bar from scratch. This meant custom building every cabinet, shelf and even the bar top out of solid oak. From Phase I we had the walls and ceiling completed as well as the pony wall for the bar. Next Matt completed the plumbing for the sink, ...

The Rosenthal Project(s): DIY Amateurs
http://rosenthalproject.blogspot.com/2012/12/diy-amateurs.html
Monday, December 10, 2012. Project #15: Part II of the Screened in Porch. Luckily this was the non-load bearing side of the porch. The roof was s. Upported by the house on the North wall and sloped to the South wall of the screened in porch. Therefore the East wall of the screened in porch was only supporting the wall itself and no roof load. This was a relief because then we didn't have to worry about shoring the roof while we replaced the wood beams and posts. STEP 1: Attach base to wood. Picture Windo...

The Rosenthal Project(s): Finished with the Bandages
http://rosenthalproject.blogspot.com/2012/12/finished-with-bandages.html
Monday, December 3, 2012. Finished with the Bandages. Project #14: The Fence. This is what it looked like after the power washing and staining. Luckily of the 55 posts we only had to replace 7 of them. So the demolition began by removing everything except the posts and yet another dumpster was filled. That makes 4 dumpsters total at this point in the renovations. We then hung new stringers between the posts and then installed all the pickets. Within one weekend we had a brand new fence! August 27, 2010.

The Rosenthal Project(s): The Man Cave Phase I
http://rosenthalproject.blogspot.com/2012/12/the-man-cave-phase-i.html
Monday, December 17, 2012. The Man Cave Phase I. Project #16: The Basement Phase I. Technically this would be the second project for the basement based on Project #1 which actually took place prior to us owning the house. This project was the reinforcing of the basement walls. Refer to the post dated 10/4/12 for additional information. Notice the original wall at the stairs leading into the basement. This quickly got demolished during a pool game because of the interference it caused. Once the carpet was...
