The reBin is a recycled recycling bin. It is an exercise in design poetics. Like all design could be. Making can be a therapeutic process. This idea was emphasised well by David Gauntlett in his book, Making is Connecting. Out came the callipers, on went SolidWorks. Eight hours later my design was ready for the laser cutter. Thanks to Dassault Systems and to Ravensbourne for the opportunity to up-cycle some recycled paper into a paper recycling bin.

El Say h’ Park. I had the luck to be commissioned by a design engineering firm to manufacture the leaves of a book for a Qatari Princess. The book contains the inside space of an underground park built in the dessert. I undertook a significant amount of testing in order to laser-evaporate cuts in the paper without leaving vapour marks on the papers surface.

Part of the interactive documentary Explore Shoreditch, this section uses deep interactivity to allow users to explore an audio interview and tilled video/photo gallery. This section is fun to use and allows a truly interactive experience. It aims to explore a possible form that documentary could take on touch-devices. By using HTML5 and JavaScript generated by Tumult Hype, I was able to design in a WYSIWYG way, rather than having to aim blind as is often the way with hand-coded interactive programming.
