https://createwithchristine.wordpress.com/2010/05/04/distressing-part-1

Distressing provide a wonderful old look to a new piece. Distressing gives an ordinary piece character and history. As you’re distressing think of the way your piece might get banged around or banged into if it had been around for a hundred years. For this project I used an inexpensive pine frame. I begin with the wood chisel and gently scrape some of the hard edges from the frame. Next use the wood rasp to make uneven scratches. Use the back end of the cross peen hammer to make gouges. Sewing and Fiber Arts to your heart's delight! Food – Just Because. Stenciling on Burlap – Harry P. February 4, 2015. April 3, 2015. Burlap is everywhere today! Stenciling on Burlap – Harry P. Posted on February 4, 2015. What really makes burlap pop is stenciling. I like cutting my stencils out of stencil material or transparencies so that if I want to put the design on something else in the futures I don’t have to recut the stencil. This stencil was made before I had my Silhouette Cameo. I cut this stencil by hand with a craft knife. I love my Silhouette Cameo. It’s a dream for making stencils. This is VERY IMPORTANT,. Wednesday, September 5, 2012. I sure do love this kid. (ps I'm still around). Last night Conner asked if we could go out on a date. How could I turn him down? So tonight after he got home from school we left Eli and Blake with Daddy and just the two of us went out. First up, dinner at Burger King (his choice) where we acted silly, took photos and Conner drew. I'm amazed at how detailed his micro images are. Afterwards we did a little necessary shopping. Shopping with just one kid is so easy! For instance...
