I will show you how to open one without a "bleeding" mess. 1 A large bowl. 2 A small bowl (Optional. I use it for the discarded outer skins.). 3 A cutting board. Step 1: Identify the bottom aspect of the fruit. Step 2: Cut off the bottom. Step 3: With the aid of the spoon and knife peel off as much of the the skin and white pith as you can exposing the kernels on this bottom portion of the pomegranate.
