Sunday, October 10, 2010. The pain of insult. Read these words describing the sufferings of Jesus found in Matthew chapter 27:37-44. Above his head they placed the written charge against him: THIS IS JESUS, THE KING OF THE JEWS. Two robbers were crucified with him, one on his right and one on his left. Those who passed by hurled insults at him, shaking their heads and saying, "You who are going to destroy the temple and build it in three days, save yourself! He's the King of Israel! The pain of insult.

Monday, October 15, 2012. Thoughts on being thankful. One day a group of people came to Jesus. They all shared something in common. They were despised and rejected. They were hopeless and they came to Jesus in search of hope. There were 10 of them to be exact and the disease they all shared was leprosy. They came to Jesus for healing and he instructed them to show themselves to the Priests, and an amazing thing happened on their way, they were cleansed. Did they forget how desperate their lives were?

Kirk's Corner: December 2010
http://creativelearningideas.blogspot.com/2010_12_01_archive.html
Friday, December 10, 2010. It has been awhile. Some people shouldn’t blog and I’m probably one of them. For one, I’m not a person that likes to talk when I’ve run out of things to do. Second, blogging is sort of like writing letters, I have more good intentions of writing them than I do of actual letters being written. So let me talk about what is happening on the website, because that comes fairly easily. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile. It has been awhile.

Thursday, May 27, 2010. Ding…., I think they’re done! So what’s next? I’m pondering several ideas, but adding some interactive maps for Old and New Testament people and events keeps popping into my brain. I’ll probably mull it over for awhile, but I’m already looking forward to jumping into the next project. Friday, May 7, 2010. 8220;The Word became Flesh”. Tuesday, March 29, 2011. Brain teasers and riddles. After all the students arrive, and class formally starts, we reveal the answer; at which point I collect the paper the riddles are written on and begin my lesson. They can take a riddle with them at the end of class, which most of them do to share with their family. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile. Brain teasers and riddles.

Saturday, February 4, 2012. A few things I have learned. 1 When launching the games leave the team names blank, the team names will default to Team 1 and Team 2. I have found it difficult to come up with a consensus on a team name if the teams are larger than 3 or 4 students and it’s always good to avoid arguments on the front end. 3 Allow students to pass their turn to another team member if they are uncomfortable. This is particularly true for guests who may not have much exposure to the Bible. I have ...
