Barbara Dunshee: October 2014
http://barbaradunshee.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
Wednesday, October 8, 2014. Whim Vessels by Barbara Dunshee. For the 2014 Madison Park Art Walk I debuted a new series I call "Whim Vessels", on view at Home Street Bank. Their features emerge from the very walls of the vessel form. I sought spontaneous gestures that felt transitional to create a sense of shifting expressions. I chose a monochromatic porcelain palette to focus on the form rather than the surface colors. 4036 E. Madison St. Seattle, WA 98112. A few examples of the Whim Vessel series.

A Life Content: July 2010
http://mysimplycomfortablelife.blogspot.com/2010_07_01_archive.html
Finding my way as an empty nester. Saturday, July 31, 2010. Here comes the tomatoes! Every morning I water the garden and scan the tomato plants. We've got a bonanza of flowers, and the fruit is coming in slowly. This morning I was thrilled to spot a flash of red deep inside one of the plants (specifically on our heirloom Surpice). Now I don't put my hand inside of any of the plants - it's too risky. I might come in contact with a spider, or (god forbid) a slug. Can't wait for the rest of them to arrive!
