Tuesday, June 14, 2011. Change in plans, already! So I started this blog about a month ago, not really sure what I would even write about. I am not very good at follow through and I tend to be a closed book when it comes to talking about myself or my feelings. My intentions were just to see if I could make myself stick with something. I thought that I would write about my progress in organizing my craft room. Our family and community has been amazing! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Change in plans, already!

Frost Blood by Elly Blake- Book Review. My rating: 4 of 5 stars. I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own. She is rescued by a group of Frostbloods, who want to use her for a gruesome, dangerous task. I enjoyed the book a lot! I liked the premise and I thought that it was well structured and played out. Blake's writing style is really good, and the characters felt very three dimensional and I wanted to cheer them on almost all the time. However her powers ar...

David's very first session was of yours truly. Nothing too fancy, just some casual shots with a beautiful outdoor background. As our "photo shoot" went on, I felt more comfortable in front of the camera. Modeling is not one of my talents, and I wasn't always quite sure how to pose. This one is my favorite, and ironically, it was totally spontaneous. I found this bright yellow leaf on the ground, which caught my eye since it isn't quite time for fall, and I decided to include it in the photo shoot.

Creativity and Critique
Creativity and Critique: writings about art. Thursday, 7 November 2013. Local artist Kim Cogan’s solo exhibition in San Francisco’s Hespe gallery takes its inspiration from the natural and man-made environments of his native area. Entitled ‘Flotsam’, this collection of paintings feature brooding melancholy explorations of the desolate and left over remnants of coastal structures. Scenes of lighthouses, old boat houses,. Cogan’s paintings are noticeable for their lack of life, set in an uninhabited ...
