So, this means, I don't want to clutter my mind with trendy music, novels, fashion statements, facebook profiles, blog entries, photographs, new ideas, self affirmations, preoccupations or hobbies that while in a sense are not bad, but rather are keeping me from figuratively looking ever upward to my friend Jesus.

Saturday, January 30, 2010. I was informed yesterday that the Sophomore class in Yap (my homeroom class) officially has a teacher! I don’t know all the details yet but a teacher arrived that replaced the eighth grade teacher so that she could be the new permanent science teacher and sophomore homeroom teacher. I’m so elated! This week has been pretty miserable considering how many awesome things happened. 95 on my Stats exam. Finally convinced my parents to let me go to Tanzania. Reconnected with an old friend. Here's the deal: I won't let my religion make me angry and unhappy. The deeper I get into Adventism, the more I am turned off. Sound like blasphemy? It probably is. So be it.
