Life of Rigby: August 2011
http://lifeofrigby.blogspot.com/2011_08_01_archive.html
Ramblings of a confused mind. Tuesday, 23 August 2011. A Thousand Splendid Suns by Khaled Hosseini. Covering nearly 40 years of tumultuous Afghan history, this focus' on the interconnected lives of two women. I found it fascinating simply for understanding some of the conflict that Afghanistan is known for, but most satisfying as a story too. I felt deeply for Mariam and Laila, and it gave some insight into understanding such a different culture. An excellent read. 9/10. A Room With A View by EM Forster.

Creating Memory Lane: Halloween Countdown Blocks
http://creatingmemorylane.blogspot.com/2010/10/halloween-countdown-blocks.html
Wednesday, October 6, 2010. Over this past weekend my sister and I made these Halloween countdown blocks. We had so much fun making them together and LOVE. The way the turned out! How we made them:. We sanded the sides and edges of two 3.5x3.5 sized blocks and one 7 inch long 2x4. We painted the full 2x4, but only the edges of the 3.5x3.5 blocks. After the paint dried, we sanded the edges to give a more aged look to the blocks. Note that the 6 doubles as the 9. And since, Christmas is just right around t...

http://lifeofrigby.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html
Ramblings of a confused mind. Friday, 1 April 2011. Rest of march reads. Year of Wonders by Geraldine Brooks. It prompted me to visit the real village and learn more about the real life heartache behind this story. A great book. 8/10. The Time Traveler's Wife by Audrey Niffenegger. The Five People You Meet in Heaven by Mitch Albom. Madame Bovary by Gustave Flaubert. Frankenstein by Mary Shelley. You should read this, its not the story you think it is. Profound, and insightful, this can be interpreted...

Creating Memory Lane: September 2009
http://creatingmemorylane.blogspot.com/2009_09_01_archive.html
Tuesday, September 22, 2009. My son, Braden, will be 4 next week and is currently in love with rockets. To celebrate his birthday I threw him a party last Saturday. Here is the invitation I made for the party. I created it digitally and then printed it off and mounted it on orange cardstock. Here is the card that I made for him. I even made a rocket cake for the big day. It was so much fun. Braden loved seeing all the rocket stuff and loves his new rocket toy from his Grandma and Grandpa. Drawn by my dad).
