Sunday, December 31, 2006. December 31st, 2006. This Sunday we celebrated Jesus' name. When Pastor Dayle googled names for Jesus there were 145 on the google list. She asked:. How is it possible to live up to such a name and to such a high calling? Pastor Dayle talked about this being bigger than Creator and mentioned the effect we have had on the community and state. O Parvardigar, the Preserver and Protector of All,. You are without Beginning and without End,. You are everywhere; You are in everything;.

Monday, October 30, 2006. October 29th, 2006. I had a different perspective on Sunday worship, participating with the congregation rather than playing guitar and singing as a musician. It was a beautiful Sunday for the change; being both Reformation Sunday and Affirmation of Baptism at the 10:15 service. Perhaps it was an answer to my question about Creator transforming my life. Now the Feast and Celebration. The Heart of Christianity. A Mighty Fortress Is Our God. The lessons and the gospel were all par...

Thursday, September 28, 2006. September 27th, 2006 Creator Choir and Potluck. The rhythm of church life is composed of daily, weekly and yearly cycles. Daily cycles are personal, perhaps a prayer to begin the day, before sleep, and before and after meals which may expand to readings, meditations and other disciplines. So what is this rhythm? Choir provides a basic understanding of the change of church seasons. The music is chosen to be appropriate to the season. In communities that get increasing...Tonig...

Thursday, November 30, 2006. November 29th, 2006. Technically Advent starts Sunday but Wednesday services began tonight at Creator. The altar was bathed in a reddish light as we entered the sanctuary and the candle banner hung behind it focused us in on the Advent season. A service anticipating the season of Advent does seem appropriate. Tonight Kelly and other strong singers in the congregation, together with Matt's piano performance particularly propelled a special experience with the music. There ...

Saturday, July 29, 2006. July 30th, 2006 - Thoughts on a Sunday Service. So much is happening this Sunday that I will not be able to describe because I cannot participate. I am on call at work today. The Oregon Zoo has a travelling show of animals after the service and. Young people who are touring the country on their bikes, are having a parade and a potluck dinner this evening. Many at Creator are praying intensely that all goes well with Bethany. I will miss an update on her progress today. He asked&#...

Sunday, January 28, 2007. January 28th, 2007. Today was the day for two comfortable morning services and a powerful, troubling, evening worship. The setting was the familiar. For the Creator services. The music was also familiar. The Second Lesson was. 1 Corinthians 13: 1-13. Pr Fred's sermon was full of stories about the Second Lesson and the Gospel. A little over a week ago I was not aware of. Lutherans Concerned / North America. Is a program and the. Evening service tonight at Central Lutheran and my ...

Tuesday, May 30, 2006. 7th Sunday after Easter Sunday Service. Pastor Dayle started her sermon by saying:. Stories are our way of understanding the world. Jesus prayed the story of our lives: I have made your name known to those whom you gave me from the world. Pastor Dayle’s talk during children time helped emphasize how much of our worship and music are as intregal to that wonderful story as the Bible readings. I was touched by what she pointed out to the children. When thinking about the parts of the ...

Sunday, June 18, 2006. June 18th, 2006 - Sunday Service and Pastor Dayle's 10th Ordination Anniversary. Pastor Dayle had spent Saturday at the beach with Peter and his brother. It was the day of the annual Sandcastle competition and they were in time to see the entries and the wave that leveled them. In her sermon on Sunday she tied to this to the death of her brother and the ephemeral nature of everyone’s time here on earth. Communities are tied in different ways, geographically, politically, economical...
