Tuesday, April 12, 2011. Our hand-me-down, Boykin Spaniel became very sick while we were on Spring Break. When we were back at home, Todd took her to the vet. We were told she had cancer and the pain was causing her to not keep anything down. So, we sadly said good-bye to our buddy, Dovey. I will miss walking her. She was a great dog. Friday, April 08, 2011. Spring Break - Last Day. The last day of our vacation (Anita's birthday) we cleaned up the cabin, then stopped for pizza in Clayton and found some antique stores in Dillard to rummage through. Then we stopped at the tourist-trap, Goats-On-The- Roof. It has goats on the roof of the buildings, with an ice cream shop and gift shop. Monday, May 31, 2010. May Flowers from the yard. Welcome to our house. The lavender at the mailbox brought the bees, much to the mailman's dismay! I've volunteered to keep the neighborhood flowerbeds looking good and filled. I had quite a few people tell me they looked the best they have in 20 years! I was glad they liked what I've done with their dues money. (It really was all the rain we had since the drought is over.). My red day lilies. The yellow day lilies around the fountain. Saturday, April 02, 2011. Celebrating Anna becoming a woman. Todd made plans to take Anna out to Stoney River for an upscale steak dinner and have a talk about this rite of passage. It's a time to talk about Anna's relationship with us, God and a guy when that happens. They had a nice time and then came home ready to look for her ring. Doesn't she look so grown-up? Saturday, April 23, 2011. Easter Weekend with the Creek Vineyard. Anita and Edd Smith leading worship. We had a Good Friday Service at our house. Then Sunday, we met at a space that the Bellas' rent for their business. Everyone participation in worship. Todd talking to the men before things get started. After the service, we went down stairs and had a potluck dinner, with cold cuts and all the sides. Anita with some of the ladies. The girls gathering for the food. Sunday, August 29, 2010. The Creek at Ocee park. We gathered at Ocee Park on Saturday evening for church, fellowship and a picnic. Alecia with a plate of food. Everyone getting some yummy food. Friday, December 31, 2010. Trip to Kentucky to meet up with Nebraska family. After Christmas, we drove up to the Kentucky-Ohio border to meet up with my side of the family. Mom and Dad set up the trip. We all got to the hotel and settled in. Then we bundled up and went to the Creation Museum for the Live Nativity presentation and Christmas Lights Show.
