Issues with the facebook page have also caused me to ignore it. I started to not receive notifications, and I realized my posts weren't being "seen," which then lead to facebook asking me to pay to promote my little page. And that's not happening. Monday, August 26, 2013. The frank family : homecoming ceremony. A solider's return home. First time meeting his sweet, little Savannah. I absolutely LOVED having the opportunity to photograph this Homecoming ceremony earlier this month. I've limited myself to only sharing a few photos from this day,. Thursday, March 28, 2013. Behind the scenes : first birthday. So, last month Mason turned the big one. The husband and I chose to keep his first birthday simple - basically, a grandparent party. :) Anyway, I wanted to take a moment to share photos from his little, mustache party. We LOVE this thang. Probably one of our best DIY projects. ever. The husband put these together. We bought these little, dowel rods and broke them in half. And then added the mustaches with double sided tape. His smash cake....

Monday, December 31, 2012. Bye-bye two thousand twelve. I can't believe today is the last day of 2012. Then, again, I can definitely believe it. This year feels like 1 wild and crazy week,. But it also feels like 10 long years. Of course, the best part of this year has been a healthy nugget that joined our bunch. Thank y'all again for being part of this. From the transition with tiny snapshots to Creek Junk. It's been fun to see the regular readers and some new names join us. Lookin' forward to 2013.

Wednesday, September 11, 2013. Rubble Watch: The Final Chapter. Now, the mystery is solved. They have recently moved the piles to the creek behind the house, using the rubble to reinforce the banks of the creek as well as to make a shallow bridge across the creek. They do have some extra rubble, just piled up nearby, but at least its not right in front of the house and in the front yard. Now if I could only get rid of the detritus left by the former residents of Creekistan . . . . Be prepared - Breakfast...

This blog is created to track the coal and its waste in Alabama. There was an error in this gadget. Wednesday, March 7, 2018. I reported, NO ONE listened! This story by Jason Morton that ran in 2009 after a flight with SouthWings. It was reported to ADEM, EPA and local environmental groups. No one took action. I was ignored in 2009. Today, the same site is in the exact same condition. Thank goodness someone is paying attention now. I seriously hope it isn't too little too late. Coal ash in the Emory River.
