Wednesday, July 2, 2014. I want to ask my local meteorologist what is is up with this "feels like" temperature. It seems to me that our weather men and women have joined the ranks of politicians who spin and journalists who sensationalize. They tell me the temperature outside is 95 degrees but it feels like 102 degrees. Feels like? Either it is 95 degrees or it is not. Why try to blur the lines of truth with emotions? Thursday, May 23, 2013. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the people in Oklahoma as they deal with the aftermath of tornadoes and loss of life and property. We can understand why natural disasters occur (laws of nature, etc.). What we do not understand is why God allows them to occur. Why did God allow a tsunami to kill over 225,000 people in Asia? Why did God allow Hurricanes Katrina, Ike, and Sandy to destroy the homes of thousands of people? And you will find some information on how you can help.

Thursday, March 28, 2013. Just three days earlier, Joshua Bell had sold out Boston Symphony Hall, with ordinary seats going for $100. In the subway, Bell garnered about $32 from the 27 people who stopped long enough to give a donation. What we see is not always reality. The people at the subway station saw just another out-of-work musician playing for change. The reality was that they were witnesses to a world famous musician. People come to church every Easter and never see Jesus for who He really is.
