http://blog.creinamooreceramics.com.au/2013_05_01_archive.html
Wednesday, 29 May 2013. Fun day today. A friend whom I hadn't seen for ages, she was also a teacher of mine, Virginia Jones (Ginny) was on the island to prepare for a workshop she's conducting for "Lines in the Sand" next month. A ceramicist originally but now she includes ephemeral installations in her repertoire was checking out sites and materials. She had researched historical references in the NSI Historical Museum yesterday thanks to Elizabeth and Geoff's help. Looking up a gully at the many colours.

Wednesday, 5 February 2014. No work makes Creina dull! Tis the season to be ill in our family. So I have been on call and not doing any work at all, for when I get home I just fiddle about and accomplish nothing. Straddie has returned to its sleepy old self with the holiday makers leaving and the crabs coming out to play. Nice crab ball installation on Home Beach. See the gorgeous beaker and little jug she gave me, there is a matching spoon to go with them which is just out of the photo. I miss her so.

Saturday, 30 March 2013. The best time of the year here on "Straddie", the weather is beautiful with days cooling after a long, long, hot summer. I took my wares to the Easter Markets today but the sun was calling people to the beach so not a good day for market sellers, and we are punishing ourself by doing the same thing again tomorrow morning. A couple of images are below. Thursday, 28 March 2013. Labels: Green turtle. Main Beach NSI. Ceramics. Clay. Wednesday, 27 March 2013. Forgot the Milton Moon pot.

Wednesday, 12 March 2014. There are some places you just can't get out of your head and Maria Island Tasmania is one of them. Above is a view of a few of the buildings from the early settlements, the long white building is the penitentiary that housed the convicts in the early 1800's. Couple of old convicts outside their cell. Labels: Maria Island Tasmania Convict Settlement Penitentiary. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Pottery for Sale.at last. Tezzas Top Tassie Tours.

creina moore ceramics blog: Pottery for Sale......at last
http://blog.creinamooreceramics.com.au/2014/03/pottery-for-saleat-last.html
Saturday, 22 March 2014. Pottery for Sale.at last. The plates are a good size and didn't warp so that was pleasing. Jennie from Drift was pleased to have them all and is setting up the gallery with new stock for Easter, so hopefully there will be a few sales. The other series, "Brown Lake", I have decided to keep for the markets as I had completed only one plate and want equal numbers to go with the bowls and cups. Brown Lake series. Below the inspiration and the result. Is this black sand valuable?

Wednesday, 5 March 2014. Back in the shed at last and glazing work that hs been waiting o be fired forever. An unexpected visitor today, most welcome, but gave me a start when all I could see was the head sticking out from behind the kiln. The photo is by Peter Robertson of Wildlife Profiles on the Museum Victoria site. Yesterday my dear potter friend, Kim Aitken, and I drove to Gympie after visiting The Clayshed at Maroochydore where I bought a bag of Imperial Porcelain for the amazing price of $35!

Monday, 28 October 2013. Here comes the rain! I think the most of the forecast storm won't be coming here but any drop is welcome. Looking at the TACA Facebook page I read that Sandy Lockwood was burnt out with the dreadful fires in the Southern Highlands recently. The images break your heart. The coffee mug I bought from Sandy at Gulgong, and it's little espresso mate below. My best wishes go to her for a speedy recovery from such a heart breaking event. Wednesday, 23 October 2013. End of the day. Thank...

creina moore ceramics blog: November 2013
http://blog.creinamooreceramics.com.au/2013_11_01_archive.html
Monday, 25 November 2013. This is the wonderful reason I'm not in my shed. Do you blame me? Next week I'm locking myself in the shed as I'm not needed for babysitting as much. Of course a cricket match got in the way a little as well. The shelves are slowly filling up in the shed. I am becoming frustrated that I just don't get enough done but next year I will have to knuckle down with a few things planned already, but there are some items heading for the kiln. Mould of bowl waiting to be released. Yester...

Monday, 29 July 2013. Home again and sooooo pleased to be here. The trip has faded instantly to lovely memories now. The blog will help me to remember lots of days that were so special, we certainly had the most wonderful trip, and we thank everyone who made it such a fantastic experience. Glenn was home with his chipmunk face from having his 4 wisdom teeth removed and we are dying to see the other three faces of Edward, Rebecca and Michael today. This is her work below. My dear brother and me. That's al...
