Boston Chomper: Long Trail Brewing Company - Bridgewater Corners, VT
http://bostonchomper.blogspot.com/2011/10/long-trail-brewing-company-bridgewater.html
Thursday, October 13, 2011. Long Trail Brewing Company - Bridgewater Corners, VT. I'll fully admit that Andrew and I drove directly the Long Trail Brewing Company, even before checking into our hotel. We were hungry and wanted to hit the brewery before it closed. The lot was full, but we managed to snag a parking space and headed in:. There was a small horseshoe-shaped bar, a merchandise counter, and assorted booths and high-top tables scattered throughout the open space:. We ended up having a thirty min...

Boston Chomper: October 2011

Friday, October 14, 2011. Quechee Gorge, VT. After the Timber Ripper. We had a pretty tame afternoon. We took an hour sidetrip to Hartford, VT to check out the Quechee Gorge. Dare I say it? Okemo's Timber Ripper Mountain Coaster. After breakfast, we headed to the Jackson Gore portion of Okemo for a little adventure:. That's right, we figured what better way to enjoy the scenery some more and lose the breakfast we had just eaten than riding on the Timber Ripper? Yikes - this was when I was noticing how st...

Boston Chomper: June 2011
http://bostonchomper.blogspot.com/2011_06_01_archive.html
Wednesday, June 15, 2011. Mangoes 1, Joyce 0. As it turns out, I don't have an allergy to mangoes. However, I did wake up yesterday morning with a rash on my upper lip - which has slowly spread to my whole upper lip (not the bottom) and a small patch by my eyelid. The good news is that you can't see the rash on my lips even though I can feel it and it is driving.me.crazy. Eyelid patch is easily covered up with some make-up. So what the heck is going on? I tempted fate by writing my last post. Throughout ...

Boston Chomper: July 2011
http://bostonchomper.blogspot.com/2011_07_01_archive.html
Friday, July 29, 2011. Meet Cameron The Cutie. These pictures were originally supposed to appear in the last post about Philadelphia, but it was just too hard to pick just a few so I decided they deserved their own post! While we were in Philly, Eric (another one of Andrew's college friends), his wife Jen and son Cameron drove into the city to meet up with us and hang out for a few hours. Some of you may remember Cameron from way back when. Now look at how adorable those curls and smile are! I didn't qu...

Boston Chomper: How To Find Ephesus in Vermont
http://bostonchomper.blogspot.com/2011/10/how-to-find-ephesus-in-vermont.html
Thursday, October 13, 2011. How To Find Ephesus in Vermont. I didn't do the shrine justice in my last post, so I wanted to share a few more pictures in the hopes that could get a sense for how peaceful the replica of the shrine was - and how unexpected it was to come upon it in the middle of the Vermont woods! You're on very bumpy and winding mountain roads, turn a corner, happen upon something that looks simply like an open field, and then see this sign that verifies that you found the right place.

Boston Chomper: August 2011
http://bostonchomper.blogspot.com/2011_08_01_archive.html
Tuesday, August 30, 2011. We escaped relatively unscathed from Hurricane (Tropical Storm? Irene By the time it hit on Sunday, our fears about possible flooding and really strong winds were put to rest. However, we were nervous about falling trees and flying tree limbs, especially since we live next to a park with lots of tall trees that extend over our house. A closer look at our side yard revealed lots of branches and leaves but nothing big. Needless to say, this was a huge relief and a minor miracle!

Friday, October 14, 2011. Quechee Gorge, VT. After the Timber Ripper. We had a pretty tame afternoon. We took an hour sidetrip to Hartford, VT to check out the Quechee Gorge. Dare I say it? Fun and Fearless in Beantown. I just went to VT a few weekends ago and was bummed not to stop by Quechee on the way to/from Stowe. I heard that Simon Pearce finally re-opened after Hurricane Irene! Boston Chomper: Boulder Favorite: Snarf's
http://bostonchomper.blogspot.com/2011/10/boulder-favorite-snarfs.html
Wednesday, October 5, 2011. Other than the beautiful scenery around us, I knew we weren't in Massachusetts anymore when I kept seeing medical marijuana places like this pop up all over the place:. The most cleverly named one was appropriately called "The Baked Shop" and it took a double-take for me to realize it wasn't a bakery - alas, no picture for it either. As Ben had gone to University of Colorado - Boulder, he knew the best local sandwich place to take us - Snarf's. The four of us enjoyed the beaut...

Tuesday, October 11, 2011. Anniversary Surprise - House of the Virgin Mary. Andrew and I spent our first anniversary weekend enjoying fall foliage and the gloriously warm weather in Vermont. Andrew told me he had a surprise planned on Saturday when we were driving up, and all he would tell me was that it involved our honeymoon and a quick side trip. One year ago, we were on our honeymoon in the Mediterranean and one of our stops was in Turkey:. Where we visited the House of the Virgin Mary. Hiking the Ro...

Boston Chomper: Driving To Boulder: Flatirons
http://bostonchomper.blogspot.com/2011/10/driving-to-boulder-flatirons.html
Monday, October 3, 2011. Driving To Boulder: Flatirons. It was another bright and clear day when we hit the road for Boulder. Due north of Denver, it felt like a quick 30 minutes before we saw these beauties (the Flatirons. Peering over the rise at us:. There was a convenient little look-out area where you could pull over and gawk to your heart's content - so we did:. What's that lurking in the distance? The city of Boulder, waiting to be explored:.
