Thanksmas weekend for us came a bit later this year than usual. With Thanksgiving being so late in the month of November and then the state playoffs in early December, the only available weekend we had was the weekend before Christmas. Our nephew Ethan's party was on Saturday, April 13th this year. We usually make a weekend trip when his party rolls around, but this year, Darren had to work on Saturday so we just decided to make a day trip out of it and go up for the day. . We were ready to hit the road once Darren got off at noon. We were a bit late, but if you know us very well at all, that is quite the norm. Anyway, the kids has a ball playing outside and the weather was just perfect. Layla and Daddy checking out the chicken coop.

Well we had an unexpected trip to Mississippi for my grandfather's funeral, but while there we got to get in a quick visit with MaMa and Aunt Cynthia, so that part was nice. I am just still so amazed at how fast Callie Grace is growing up. She is about to be 8 months old! She is still not crawling yet, but she is so close!
