Just another WordPress.com weblog. Zoo Poster and other wonderous things…. February 29, 2008. I thought this project sounded so great for two reasons: 1) I love typography. 2) I liked the challenge of making my animal using the letter forms of the animal’s name! Using small bits of information placed in interesting clumps and a simple color palette, I think I’m getting near to what I want my poster to look like. The biggest problem I’m having is trying not to make the poster feel cluttere...The time has ...

Just another WordPress.com weblog. April 8, 2008. I’ve been doing a lot of thinking about my product and packaging as I do research and also as I read other classmates blogs. I know I want my product line, Monkey in a Dress to stay completely organic and have all components be eco-friendly. I will continue to sketch-look back for logo/brand samples….Thanks! I’ve started playing with logo design…that’s really where I’m at. More to come tomorrow…. Clipping Mask Project (Take 1). March 11, 2008. I the creat...

Interpreting the world visually. June 28, 2008. Posters as Portraiture: An examination of Poster Layout. June 28, 2008. Last Saturday our class made a visit to a couple of our Nation’s museums, one of which was the Portrait Gallery. We observed the Ballyhoo! The poster I chose to critique was. There is so much that affects design. It’s highly emotional and culturally sensitive. This discussion on posters proved that the designer must take into consideration a great deal. June 14, 2008.
