Two of my sisters kids and my mom came up! We had a great time! Bob taught me over the weekend how to pull tubers so I had fun taking the kids out! Henry rarely got a nap so by 6:30 he was usually out! No matter how crisp the air felt these two were in the water! Thomas really got the fishing thing down! For example, she wanted to have half the party at the pool and then move to our house to eat dinner and have cake. That would be a logistical nightmare! Saturday, November 16, 2013. This will officially be my last "yellow chair" post. I think I started taking pictures of Ethan in this chair with his stuffed animals because I needed somewhere to prop him up. Although I have thought about doing it several times, I haven't taken his picture with the lion and zebra in over a year! Ethan has decided in the last few months that he does not want to rock before bed and that he wants a room without a rocker in it. I don't blame him really, he is almost four!

Currently, Ethan's favorite song is "We Are the Dinosaurs" by the Laurie Berkner band (thank you to Aunt Melissa and Kohl who passed this CD along to us). He loves to listen to it and play along. This was the second or third time we listened to the song. Ethan got out an instrument for each person and he was upset that Kaitlin had stopped playing! Links to this post. Tuesday, January 24, 2012. I took Ethan for his 2-year-old checkup today. He weighs 26 lbs, 10 oz and is 33 ¼ inches tall. I guess the CDC has recently updated the growth charts and now Ethan is in the 15th percentile in height instead of the 10th! That's a pretty big deal when you come from a family of shorties! Of course the price keeps going up! Visiting the farm is so much fun. We managed to be in the red barn first. We had fun playing with all the animals. The donkeys were on guard because of the new baby goats. So that was fun to listen to them warn the farm of the new animals. I say cheese Henry's response! I call this sour cheese!

This past weekend we had the privilege to go as a family on a mission trip to Tracy city, Tennessee to Mountain T.O.P. We weren't sure what we were in for with the kids and mission but we were excited to share a weekend of service with our kids. 4 dogs and 2 cats that love kids. So the kids were in heaven. Saturday, August 3, 2013. Kaitlin and Ethan participated in the Small Fry Tri today in Opelika. It was a fantastic event for kids ages 2-5. They started with a run, then a bike ride, and a run through the splash park. It was lots of fun! He had one little mishap when he started to fall on his tricycle and when Keven reached down to right him, he accidentally poked Ethan in the eye. But our tough little guy calmed down, got back on his bike and finished the race! Kaitlin at the start line.
