Was born in London in 1959. He studied English at Cambridge University and Photography at the University of Westminster. In 1984 he co-founded Photofusion. One of the country’s leading photography galleries and education centres. In 1990 and his work appears regularly in the national and international press. Active consent is characteristic of his documentary photography of social issues, working with the people involved to make un-contrived but collaborative pictures. His latest exhibition Stone Hole.

The kids' guide to places to see and things to do. Dalston Eastern Curve Garden. There’s a loo, rain shelter and conservatory for when it’s cold. The cafe serves delicious cakes and salad made with ingredients grown in the garden. You can also bring your own picnic. The garden is built on a railway line that hasn’t been used for more than 50 years. If you look carefully, you can still see part of the old tunnel that runs underneath the road to Dalston Junction Station. Have a picnic on a sunny day.
