My husband did an amazing job picking a spot in our yard where the coop would get enough sunlight in the winter but not too much in the summer. Many of the breeds we have in New England that are tolerant of cold weather do not do as well in the heat. Note the small section of roofing panels in the back – this is to allow light into the back section of the coop. March 16, 2014.
