The Ambiguity of Truth: Pictures Worth Approximately 960 Words Each
http://critical-drinking.blogspot.com/2010/06/pictures-worth-approximately-960-words.html
The Ambiguity of Truth. Tuesday, June 08, 2010. Pictures Worth Approximately 960 Words Each. Here are some pictures that show what I've been thinking about and doing for the past couple of weeks. This is my band, The NRIs (linked at left), playing the Black Cat. I was hopped up on cold medicine and looking forward to the single bottle of Dos Equis that I allowed myself at the end of the night. (Thanks Jess for the photo! I didn't take this photo, but if I had, I would have gotten to talk. I have some mor...

The Ambiguity of Truth: May 2010
http://critical-drinking.blogspot.com/2010_05_01_archive.html
The Ambiguity of Truth. Friday, May 14, 2010. Okay, I finally made it to my hundredth post! It's only been, what, four years? Here's to hitting the next hundred before 2012! I was looking for cute images of the number 100,. But I saw one made of cupcakes, so this. Is the photo you get. I made these. Pretend they spell out "100.". And now, for the thrilling continuation:. My landlord's mobster voice barked through the earpiece of my Blackberry. "What, ya got another rat or somethin'? Okay, good," he said,...
The Ambiguity of Truth: open your gift
http://critical-drinking.blogspot.com/2006/09/open-your-gift.html
The Ambiguity of Truth. Friday, September 29, 2006. It had been forever since I'd gotten a strange gift, and I wasn't quite sure what to think. "Beware of Greeks bearing gifts"? But I didn't know who gave this to me, or even, for that matter, if it was actually intended for me. It was merely a gift bearing gifts, and it might have been delivered to me by accident. I wouldn't know unless I opened it, right? Like pearly glass. The place where the ribbons were? Was I afraid of its contents? Morning came, an...
The Ambiguity of Truth: April 2010
http://critical-drinking.blogspot.com/2010_04_01_archive.html
The Ambiguity of Truth. Thursday, April 29, 2010. Actual photo of me. Distracted by someone else's cake. What the heck, Blogger? Anyway. I really wanted this post to mostly be about books that my friends either have published or will be publishing soon. No lie. I know a lot of smart, funny, fabulous people who have written books. This morning, I finished reading my friend Adam. S book, "Surviving Your Stupid, Stupid Decision to Go to Grad School" (linked at right on my Goodreads widget). It has feelings,...

Inner Doodles: Rhyme and Reason
http://innerdoodles.blogspot.com/2010/02/rhyme-and-reason.html
Wednesday, February 3, 2010. I just realized that Inner Doodles rhymes with Snicker Doodles. I suppose it's not a true rhyme, since it's the same word, but it makes me wish I had some eggs to bake with regardless. Well, the play is over and now I find myself focused on writing and painting. Here's my latest. Gouache on canvas paper. December 2009. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). This site is excellent and so is how the subject m. The Ambiguity of Truth. Friday, January 15, 2010. Everything happens for a reason. Monday, January 4, 2010. Outreach to all my peeps. So I think I'll join the technology era. I've been clinging to my dinosaur 35mm camera, my oil paints and fountain pen. But it just might be time to move on. Not entirely, don't worry, my camera will still refuse to collect dust and my hands will still get cramped and turn all sorts of colors from writing and painting with messy media. Opinions about flicks. feel free to comment. Is a mediocre and predictable crime drama. Or at least I think that’s what it’s going for. It’s all sort of a mess and it’s not that interesting. The acting isn’t terrible but the story is pretty lame. The action doesn’t really add anything to it either. Is a pretty solid flick for the romantic comedy genre. It plays out like a mix of Scream. In a weird way. It plays against the predictable conventions of its ilk and then goes along with them just as easily.

The Ambiguity of Truth
The Ambiguity of Truth. Saturday, May 24, 2014. Ceci nest pas une poker story. Now I had another decision. How much did I want to see this flop? The slim chance that it would come down exactly the way I needed it to- was it worth another chunk of my already-dwindling stack? I threw my chips into the pot, if not confidently, then with bravado. The flop came down all black. My heart leapt until my eyes were able to focus on the cards themselves: Kc-10c-Qs. On the turn would be admitting defeat. I had alrea...
