Passage to Sackville.: Rescue mission !
http://crittersnus.blogspot.com/2015/05/rescue-mission.html
I've moved on from Eastern Passage to Sackville, Nova Scotia. New gardens to make and trails to explore. Thanks for tagging along. Monday, May 25, 2015. Yesterday while walking in "my" new woods I spied something unusual in a recently dried-up puddle. Actually it wasn't ONE something. There were a couple of somethings. And the more I looked, the more somethings. Can you see them? Here's a closer look. Were Wood Frog egg masses. Vernal pool in the woods. See all the floating masses? We'll keep an eye on t...
Passage to Sackville.: Happy 50th Birthday !

I've moved on from Eastern Passage to Sackville, Nova Scotia. New gardens to make and trails to explore. Thanks for tagging along. Sunday, February 15, 2015. Prior to February 15, 1965 most Canadians would have told you that our National Flag was the Red Ensign. Those same Canadians might be have been shocked to learn that the Ensign was never. Officially adopted by the Parliament of Canada as our National Flag. Our official Canadian Flag was the Royal Union Jack. Who, in their right mind, could be conce...
Passage to Sackville.: How buggy is my valley ?
http://crittersnus.blogspot.com/2015/05/how-buggy-is-my-valley.html
I've moved on from Eastern Passage to Sackville, Nova Scotia. New gardens to make and trails to explore. Thanks for tagging along. Tuesday, May 26, 2015. How buggy is my valley? The answer to that question is very buggy. Very, very buggy. It seems like there was barely a one week or two between the last of the snow drifts and the first clouds of pesky midges. What's a girl to do? Well this girl went to the Dollar Store and got this very fetching hat with attached bug netting. Debra She Who Seeks. Too muc...

http://crittersnus.blogspot.com/2015/05/apple-blossom-festival.html
I've moved on from Eastern Passage to Sackville, Nova Scotia. New gardens to make and trails to explore. Thanks for tagging along. Saturday, May 30, 2015. Aside from a drive a couple of weeks ago to meet up with a couple of fellow bloggers in Lunenburg, I can't remember the last time I had an "adventure". Susan, Sara and me (and Wendy). After that awful long nasty winter - Can you believe I'm still bitching about it? Can you see Wendy's footprints? Check out Sooki's paws. Black from the muck. But we were...

I've moved on from Eastern Passage to Sackville, Nova Scotia. New gardens to make and trails to explore. Thanks for tagging along. Monday, March 2, 2015. I have "cabin fever"! In nice weather I spend more time outside than in. In nice weather I don't fall asleep in my big poofy chair after reading ten pages of a book. In nice weather I don't fall asleep in my big poofy chair for three hours after reading ten pages of my book, after getting a good solid ten hours sleep. Cabin fever has changed me. BTW I g...

Winter Walk-Off | Tracy Rich Design
https://tracyrichdesign.wordpress.com/2013/02/28/winter-walk-off
February 28, 2013. January 13, 2015. I found out about the Tidewater Gardener’s Winter Walk-Off. Through another blog I follow, James Golden’s A View from Federal Twist. The aim of the walk-off is to simply “leave the house and blog about what can be seen within walking (or biking) distance of your home”. It sounded easy enough but practically took me the whole day! I’m a community councillor for this area, Stirling city centre, and live roughly in the middle of the boundary. So, are you ready? The path ...

Because I was awake with the rising sun. After eating breakfast and making Butterbrots (sandwiches) for lunch, we hopped into Dirk’s quirky Alpha Romero for the two-hour drive to the mountains. His heart was set on taking me to Germany’s highest peak, Zugspitze. The workmen had brought pre-cut lumber this far and had only t...

Nature Posts: Bees that dig holes in the ground - Miner Bees, Part III
http://www.abundantnature.com/2012/05/bees-that-dig-holes-in-ground-miner.html
A spotlight on my natural surroundings to inspire others who love nature and those who homeschool to more closely observe and appreciate the Creator's genius so abundantly displayed in nature. Tuesday, May 8, 2012. Bees that dig holes in the ground - Miner Bees, Part III. Our mining bee homeschool science project. I thought the kids would enjoy digging into a bee's underground nest. Who wouldn't want to know what is down in those dark holes behind the little sand piles? The white "plastic bag" at the low...

A spotlight on my natural surroundings to inspire others who love nature and those who homeschool to more closely observe and appreciate the Creator's genius so abundantly displayed in nature. Tuesday, July 17, 2012. From Bird Poop To A Butterfly. When I first saw this caterpillar I thought, "Wow, that caterpillar looks like bird poop". Similarity between the two. The caterpillar's bird-dropping disguise wasn't its only defense. It also had a rather unusual defensive posture. When I poked the cat...The c...

Boundless Energy | Drawing Conclusions
https://drawingconclusions.wordpress.com/2012/03/10/boundless-energy
March 10, 2012. Some dogs have an energy that seems boundless. Such a dog is Trey, a Staffordshire cross. Although he lives to chase the ball, Trey also loves playing frisbee and exercising on an indoor treadmill when it’s too wet to go for walks outdoors. This drawing of Trey was created with a combination of charcoal pencils (black, Venetian Red and Terracotta) and colored pencils on paper. Posted in Pet Portraits. 8 Responses to “Boundless Energy”. Passage to Sackville.
I've moved on from Eastern Passage to Sackville, Nova Scotia. New gardens to make and trails to explore. Thanks for tagging along. Sunday, February 25, 2018. Waiting two weeks for a walk . In most places on this planet going for a walk along the shore does not require one to wait two weeks before setting out; but that is not the case if you are planning on walking along the shore of the magnificent Bay of Fundy. I wanted to go walking along the shore at Blomidon Provincial Park. We couldn't make it up to...
