I have always liked Emma in the other books but to finally get a glimpse into her life and her heart was a treat. I found myself understand her choices and her emotions. Her heart was just beautiful even though she carried around so many scars. Emma is truly a relatable character for many women. When we were in Kampala back in February, we visited an AIDS hospital that is funded in part by Compassion. After a short information session about the work the hospital does, our guide (his name was Damon, and he was seventeen different kinds of BONAFIDE AWESOME) escorted us to a lovely outdoor cafeteria so we could visit with some of the hospital staff. I had a good back-up word but it just wasn't the word that called to my heart. "This. This is what you need to do in 2013.".
