Mrs. W's Math-Connection: July 2012
http://mrswsmathconnection.blogspot.com/2012_07_01_archive.html
Tuesday, July 31, 2012. A BIG project to end our year. Wow, I can't believe it's time to start back to school already! We had a really crazy end to our year with 3 schools closing and lots of teachers moving around. Thankfully, I didn't have to move this year, but there was still plenty going on and I completely forgot to blog about our last BIG project. Sadly, it also ended up being my last project as a seventh grade teacher since I'm getting moved to full-time eighth grade for the new year. Tales of Fr...

Math in Your Life: Higher Achievement Interview
http://mathinyourlife.blogspot.com/2011/04/higher-achievement-interview.html
Math in Your Life. Where can you find math around you? April 12, 2011. After thinking for a while that I would be home being a summer recreation counselor for my third summer, I received a call from the Higher Achievement Program. In order to give you a glimpse as to the magnitude, in my opinion, of this opportunity, I’ll explain a little more about Higher Achievement. Taken from their website,. Posted by Alex Rooke. Don’t call me a COPIER, i’m a MAKER. October 13, 2012. This week we took charge of our own learning. This came about after a series of objectives: reflecting on the differences between training and education, getting introduced to the idea of performance support, becoming knowledgeable about MOOCs, and of course being introduced to the Maker movement. Now it is our turn: reflect on things we want to learn, and strategies to learn them. Finding the blog of my choice. The math blog connection. 2 check goog...

Faith, Hope and Math: Words have Power.
http://faithhopeandmath.blogspot.com/2016/08/words-have-power.html
Faith, Hope and Math. Wednesday, August 17, 2016. Would I have given up in college when I was always at my professor's office hours or always the last one finishing the test? I could have missed out on the joy I had when I finally figured out the projects in Abstract Algebra. I definitely would have missed the joy of teaching maths to students and hoping to pass my love of math onto my students. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. Mrs. W's Math-Connection: Storage for Supplies
http://mrswsmathconnection.blogspot.com/2012/09/storage-for-supplies.html
Thursday, September 6, 2012. I have tried everything to try and have my supplies organized and accessible. However, for things like glue sticks, tape, dry erase markers, and scissors, I was getting tired of passing them out because we use them everyday. In our notebooks. I don't have tables in my room. I don't even have desks that can really be grouped. So, I got creative! A trip to Home Depot later, and here is what I had. September 9, 2015 at 8:18 AM. Interactive online math homework help.

Mrs. W's Math-Connection: A new look and Favorite ways to practice
http://mrswsmathconnection.blogspot.com/2012/10/a-new-look-and-favorite-ways-to-practice.html
Friday, October 19, 2012. A new look and Favorite ways to practice. I finally figured out how to add a cute banner and background to my page! Sometimes we're covering a topic in class and it just requires a lot of practice. I'm not one for just giving worksheets or book assignments. For most students, it's just not interesting and really not very effective. Here are some of my students' favorite ways to practice, as seen from their excitement when they see them on the day's Playlist. I used it tonight...
