Grumpy old Biker: Not getting to ride.
http://grumpyoldbiker.blogspot.com/2012/08/not-getting-to-ride.html
Monday, August 13, 2012. Not getting to ride. The nice thing about working in a Bike shop is that you get to ride and see all the new stuff as soon as it comes out. The bad side is you don't get to ride as much as you would like! Right now I have a sweet Seven 622 frame-set built with the new SRAM Red, I even have the new Red Quarq crank-set. But I just don't get to ride it much. Well I guess I'll just keep trying! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Pyerneese to the Alps 2016, Maybe yes?

Friday, September 3, 2010. Ironman Wisconsin is right around the corner, which means life is hectic but also fun because we get visited by professional triathletes from all over the world who have made a habit of bringing their bikes to us for service before the event. Today I got to get Hillary Biscay's machine ready to do battle. She has won the Wisconsin Ironman before, so be sure to watch for her out on the course. Don't blink because she'll be going by pretty fast. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Monday, February 13, 2012. With the mild, more like non-winter that we are having in Wisconsin this year I thought that I might get through the year without getting to sick. But as all good things go I was wrong. Started feeling bad on Wednesday, went a head and do the Crono trainer ride. By the end is knew that I was headed for a ruff bout of the CRUD! Pyerneese to the Alps 2016, Maybe yes? Cool Places to go. Picture Window template. Powered by Blogger.

Crono Tech Blog: Stolen!
http://crono-tech.blogspot.com/2010/10/stolen.html
Thursday, October 28, 2010. Colin rode his Surly Traveler's Check to work yesterday and locked it up outside the back door. Someone managed to steal it in broad daylight despite the visibility and constant traffic of people in and out the door. The thief must have been a really smart guy, as the genius put it up for sale on Craigslist today. We called him posing as a buyer, but sent Madison's Finest to the meeting instead. Now the bike is back and he's in jail! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Crono Tech Blog: Cyclocross Brake Chatter/Shudder
http://crono-tech.blogspot.com/2010/11/cyclocross-brake-chatter.html
Friday, November 5, 2010. Lennard Zinn wrote a great article ( HERE. About the common problem of chattering front cantilever brakes on cyclocross bikes. Basically, when the cable housing stops above the top of the steerer tube, as it does on most 'cross bikes, fork and frame flex caused by braking forces can create sharp spikes in cable tension. These spikes lead to increased braking force, to the point where one of the following must happen:. 1 The front wheel locks up and skids.
