Holding Pattern →. Raquo; Friends and Family. July 16, 2013. No, I’m not asking you to join my cell phone group, just wanting to share the past couple of weeks. We spent the first week of July with family in upstate NY. Now, my dear husband has this theory that it’s going to be cooler in NY than it is in hot, humid Florida and sometimes his theory is actually correct – and other times not so much! We even have pictures to prove it! Sydney and Julianne help Grandpa Pete steer the boat on Lake George.

Red Crinoline Quilts: Life After Retreat
http://redcrinolinequilts.blogspot.com/2015/08/life-after-retreat.html
Saturday, August 15, 2015. I just love going to retreat! Where else do you get to spend time with your closest friends, doing what you enjoy most - quilting - not eating - though that is probably second. Paula drove over from Texas with two of our best friends, Cynthia Regone ( Cajun Classics. And Ronda Stockton ( Pieceful Stitches Quilt Retreat. It was a five day retreat, so we had all sorts of time to chat, sew, eat, sew, chat, eat, repeat! She then moved on to another Red Crinoline Quilts project - Oa...

Red Crinoline Quilts: January 2015
http://redcrinolinequilts.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
Tuesday, January 20, 2015. What happened to 2014? It's hard to believe that we've started a new year. 2014 was definitely a busy year and as I look at what's ahead for 2015, it looks like it's going to be just as busy, if not busier! I don't know if that's a good thing or not. Just some of the ornaments on Paula's beautiful tree. Love the stockings and the whole mantel! Fame had a tutorial of Self Binding Receiving Blankets. It just makes me smile a little! In LaPorte,TX. Ronda and her husband David ...

Wednesday, July 29, 2015. Our month of traveling is over. We arrived home on Monday night and immediately began unpacking and getting settled back in to our routine. We had a wonderful month, but I was really excited to sleep in my own bed again! Plus they've got the "cute" factor in their favor! Julianne's creation - she said it was a hot air balloon. I did manage to find some sewing time and finished our new version of Sophie. I also worked on a new Country Day Table Runner. Right now it is sti...The M...

You've seen all of the quilts as I pieced them, but now you can see them in all of their quilted glory. Our 2 re-do's - Sherman's March and Old Abe. Tanner Legacy and Union tents (on the screen).

Red Crinoline Quilts: Vacation - Phase 3
http://redcrinolinequilts.blogspot.com/2015/07/vacation-phase-3.html
Monday, July 20, 2015. Vacation - Phase 3. Our vacation is beginning to wind down. On Thursday we "transitioned" from Syracuse to Ballston Lake and trust me, that is not an easy move. Suitcases, sewing machine, sewing table, projects, bicycle, sleeping bag and assorted items all have to be reloaded back into the van and then unloaded (and set up) at the next place. We are now at our son's place and beginning our week with the granddaughters. I shared the fabrics for a new Sophie quilt in my last post....

Red Crinoline Quilts: February 2015
http://redcrinolinequilts.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
Wednesday, February 25, 2015. I spent this past weekend in LaPorte, TX at Ronda's retreat house - And Sew It Began-Pieceful Stitches. With 14 of my quilting BFF's. We arrived on Thursday afternoon, left on Monday morning and in between we laughed, joked, shared, sewed, shopped, dined out, snacked and basically just had a fantastic time. Some people machine sewed, some rug hooked, some hand appliqued, some did English Paper Piecing. And some did a little of everything. For info on the remodel and build.
