Crookhaven Harbour Sailing Club is run by a management committee consisting of fourteen people. The committee look after the day to day running of the club during the season and plan and co-ordinate activities throughout the winter for the coming sailing season. The committee is elected each year at the Crookhaven Harbour Sailing Club Annual General Meeting.

Crookhaven Harbour Sailing Club was founded in 1979. The summer based club has a large member base who sail in the beautiful setting of Crookhaven from June to September each year. For details of the Junior sailing course 2016. Racing Leagues take place at the beginning of August for two weeks. Racing commences in the morning with a number of fleets. A fantastic range of prizes is awarded to all fleets with weekly and overall winners of the league.

When the wind is up or we just fancy doing something different one of the favourite expeditions is to the nearby Mizen Vision. The younger ones love the souvenir shop there and we have cake and coffee in the café. We have often been down across the bridge to the lighthouse and the views are incredible. Crookhaven village is another favourite destination especially for a hot chocolate and a piece of cake at the Crookhaven Inn. Run a popular series of courses and the regatta in August is very popular.

Goleen, Crookhaven and The Mizen. Another gem of the Mizen Peninsula is Three Castle Head, where the three castles, which are three Tower Houses with curtain walling. Built in the 15th century on the site of a Bronze Age Promontory Fort, the Castles stand sentinel beside a cliff top lake. Access is restricted at the moment due to the unstable state of the castles, but it is worth asking if it is possible to visit.
