Wednesday, 28 March 2012. What a strange spring we are having.the plants and animals are all early in their behaviour. February 26th the toad migration started - it normally happens in April! For those who haven't visited Crookhouse we have a large mill pond which seems to be the spawning venue for all frogs and toads in the area. Am now trying to refrain from making any sexist remark!
