Sunday, February 15, 2009. Final set of California pics. I had a great time in Pasadena on Saturday. The Fred Bock Institute and Fuller Seminary sponsored a workshop with presenters Gloria Gaither and Michael Hawn of SMU. I would have paid the money just to see those two side-by-side! I'm sitting in LAX, waiting for my flight to Salt Lake City. Perhaps a good night's rest wouldn't be so bad at this point. Hope your week is off to a great start, my friends. Sunday, March 8, 2009. It's been a fast-paced week at ACDA in Oklahoma City. I admit that the choirs overall were less stunning than usual because I just spent the month of February with the best! Tuesday, December 30, 2008. Kaleb Thomas Crook is here! Born 6:54 pm, December 30. 7 lbs, 15 oz. Tonight, at least for me, heaven and earth seemed to kiss each other. Sunday, December 28, 2008. It's been a great couple of days at home in MS. Everyone in the family is doing well. Reese has grown up so much since I last saw her! Reese's little brother should arrive in the next few days. Monday, February 23, 2009. It just keeps getting better and better. Last week was incredibly fulfilling. From observing some of the finest university choral singing and conducting in the country to singing with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir in rehearsal to hiking in the Arches National Park in Southeastern Utah, it has been a week I'll never forget. I plan to accomplish four goals while away during this time:. 1 Reconnect with many who significantly influenced my musical journey and simply say thank you. 2 Study with several choral conductors and church musicians I respect and admire. 3 Vision for the next ten years- for my personal life and for the music ministry of St. Andrew. 4 Rest- 'nuf said. The countdown is underway.
