September 22, 2010. From Trev, With Love. I'm sure I could have caught a family of polygamist flies right in my wide open mouth. April 8, 2009. I'm discontinuing my blog for a while. Sometime soon, if the bug bites, I'll write again publicly. For now, my personal journal is flourishing, and that's where most of my thoughts should remain. We can smell newness here. It is positively lovely. I can't wait for more green and those beautiful colors that are ready to pop when the weather turns just a bit kinder. Happy Spring! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). March 18, 2010. As our six-year-old grandson, Luke, was leaving us after his mom had brought the kids for a visit, he looked straight at me and said, "IN MY WHOLE LIFE, YOU HAVE NEVER KISSED ME ON THE MOUTH! Then he shmusshed in a little closer to me. I said, "What did you say, Luke? Heard it the first time, but I wanted to run with it. "GRANDMA! I SAID, IN MY WHOLE LIFE, YOU HAVE NEVER KISSED ME ON THE MOUTH! I leaned towards him as if to make the attempt. "YUCK! Such a sweet and priceless little boy.

May 28, 2010. Memorial Day has always been a favorite holiday of mine. It's a time of remembering those who have gone before and given so much. January 16, 2009. Thankful Thursday is a Friday for me this week. But it's better late than never, right? Ah, the hubris of youth. When I hear her voice on the phone, it is as if no time has passed at all. We share joys. We share sorrows. Just as we always did.
