How Being a Parent Can Help You Be a Better Child. A few nights ago I was nursing our little one in bed. Doesn’t this happen in our relationship with Christ too? We, as children, say to God, “I can do it! 8221; instead of waiting for Him to turn on a light, or open a door. Sometimes realizing the mistake doesn’t come as quickly as it did for my son and his hot wax incident. Quite often it takes weeks, months, or years to realize that what we were trying to do it on our own. Had to supplement with formula.

How I've Learned to Love My Spouse. Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins." 1 Peter 4:8. How do we love each other deeply? We find out the best love we can share with one another through our love languages. So love deeply to cover and protect one another. Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken." Ecclesiastes 4:12. Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate." Mark 10:9. When I was pr...

It Takes Courage to Connect. But, how de we connect with people? Well, there’s one thing for a start…. WE CONNECT BY BEING COURAGEOUS. The first principle for connecting with people is this: Be courageous and take the initiative! Don't wait on somebody else to connect with you. You must take the initiative to connect with them. This often takes courage. Why? We hide our true selves. We don't let people know what we're really like. Why? Fear does three terrible things to relationships:. Where do you get t...

So what happens when you break a local custom without being aware of it? How do you handle things after you’ve crossed the line of decency even though your intent was innocent? There was such an occasion on a day trip through the rural villages of Uganda. I had been invited to a pastors training. Post contributed by Brian Petty. The Other 6: Submit to Your... Children?
http://www.theothersix.org/2015/05/submit-to-your-children.html
Submit to Your. Children? More than once, my daughter has been reassured when I have apologized to her for getting too angry. On other occasions, my discipline towards her has been counter to the discipline that my wife has already given. By the time I was made aware of, it was too late. Naturally, one or both parties are frustrated and an apology is due. 8220;Daddy, will you play with me? 8220;Daddy, can you show how much you love me.”. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). The Life and Times of Our Family of 6. Monday, December 22, 2014. St Nick visits our neighborhood every year about a week before Christmas. On Friday night he drove through and tossed out candy and on Saturday he was at the neighborhood clubhouse. And we have the token parent in the picture photo just to get Rosie to get near him. Our Life Version 6.0: Crying. all. The. Time.
http://ourlifeversion6point0.blogspot.com/2015/04/crying-all-time.html
The Life and Times of Our Family of 6. Monday, April 27, 2015. Crying. all. The. Time. My baby boy cries all the time. If he isn't sleeping or nursing or maybe being fed some solids, he's crying. Sure sometimes he can be distracted by something for about 15 minutes before he cries again. Or maybe if I could hold him all the time he might not cry. Or just drive somewhere. But he's 11 months old and he cries a lot and it's wearing me down. I thought he would be over this by now but he's not.

The Life and Times of Our Family of 6. Monday, April 06, 2015. Mr Lucan turned 10 months on 3/24. From your little nose to your little toes, I can't get enough of your cuteness. You aren't crawling yet but you can sit up for a while. You have just started spinning around on your belly to reach for something you want. You act like you want to get out of my arms and crawl even though you aren't mobile yet. You have started clapping and it's adorable. You have 5 teeth now and have tried eating some puffs.
