Death by squats……. June 30, 2015. Definitely excited to get the workouts started for the week after deloading last week. Mondays are always the toughest for me to complete everything programmed since I coach 6 and 7 pm classes. I usually end up not being able to complete the last portion which is generally running….but I do make it up! The agenda for Monday:. Back Squat working to a heavy triple, then using that number, complete 8 sets of 5-7 reps at 80%. Deadlift 5×5 using 75% of your last triple. You a...

Got home a little late last night so I didn’t have the opportunity to write about all the backsquatting…aka booty building that went on. :). After the heavy double, I then did 4 sets of 2 at 170 lbs, making absolute sure I squatted below parallel. Once that was done, I did 3 sets of 7 at 155 lbs, and the 3 sets of 12 at 105 lbs. The squats felt pretty good considered the number that was done. 1 x 5 then 1.

I’m not really sure what happened today but I was allowing the smallest things to bother me. But, I will say I turned the “small stuff” into motivation.
