Tuesday, June 28, 2011. PKC at Yelp Sunset Showdown. Just this last weekend, Yelp did a big event in the Richmond Craneway Pavilion called Sunset Showdown. The only downside I can think of is that we were kept so busy talking to the attendees that we didn't really get to try out much of the amazing food that the vendors were putting out. Gymnastics in The Cave. FIG Code Group: 5. FIG Code Box: 5.202. Drills for Front giant. The tendency is to dump the shoulders forward and basically do a forward roll over the bar. Work cast handstand lower back to the bar with a spot A LOT! From the handstand the gymnast must think about extending as far from the bar as possible on the downward swing. Gymnastics in The Cave. Floor Drills and Skills. Floor involves a 40 foot by 40 foot spring floor. It is typically constructed of wood or composite mounted on springs. Covered with closed cell foam, which is in turn covered by carpet. A men's floor routine consists of tumbling and connective elements. It must contain both forward and backwards tumbling elements as well as a single leg or arm balance (scale). Doing backwards rolls down an incline mat will help develop a feel. Bent arm back extension roll.
