Crossing America 2013

Wednesday, October 30, 2013. Adendum: Return to Williamsburg, VA. Back on Day 29, we visited Williamsburg, VA and found that we had not allowed ourselves enough time to actually enter Colonial Williamsburg. We arrived about 90 minutes before closing and, given the $41 charge per person and the 30 minute walk to get from the Visitors Center to the main street, we didn't go. We stayed 3 nights in Williamsburg so, after that initial look around, we were able to go back for 2 more full days. Colonial William...

Crossing America 2013: May 2013

http://www.crossingamerica2013.blogspot.com/2013_05_01_archive.html

Friday, May 31, 2013. Day 16: Houston, TX. Stop 13: Houston, TX. A relatively uneventful day. We drove about 165 miles with the Magellan trying to pull us over to a longer route the entire way. We are still trying to work this out with Magellan. Unfortunately, this new site is just a little too far from the wifi. We had great internet at the waterless site but we have none here. I'm writing this post using Notepad and will post it tomorrow when we have a connection again. Thursday, May 30, 2013. Finally,...

Wednesday, July 31, 2013. Day 77: Custer, SD (cont.). Still with Stacy and Jack in Custer, SD:. Today was a sightseeing day. The four of us headed out to Jewell Cave National Monument. The tours of the cave were sold out for a couple of hours so we booked a mid-afternoon tour and left to tour Custer State Park and get some lunch. Custer State Park is supposed to have thousands of bison and, supposedly, they are to be found on the scenic wildlife loop. We saw some wild burros and a couple of deer. Today's...

Colton loved the carrousel (I had to pry him off, kicking and screaming when it was over):. Grant, Colton, elephant:. Colton and me checking out the giraffes:.

Crossing America 2013: August 2013

http://www.crossingamerica2013.blogspot.com/2013_08_01_archive.html

Tuesday, August 20, 2013. Day 97: Back home! Stop 62 (our final stop): Home. We had dreaded our final leg through Los Angeles. It didn't sound like much fun with a trailer. As it ended up, it was one of our faster trans-LA runs. Sweet. We were home by noon and have worked our butts off all afternoon. Everything is out of the trailer and the trailer is bug free. Getting the truck clean will have to wait until the trailer returns to storage in a couple of days. 97 days on the road. Monday, August 19, 2013.

Crossing the Line by Joan McCue | When this writer-mom reaches the edge, she crosses the line.

Crossing the Line by Joan McCue. June 11, 2009. 8212; jtmccue @ 10:51 am. As the parent of one “and an almost” teenagers, I find myself wrestling almost daily with disciplinary issues. When, for example are my little adolescent bundles of hormones simply spreading their wings a bit, engaging in normal teen behavior, and when have they really crossed the line and earned some form of punishment? How much is too much, or, too little? Evidently, not so much. What would you do? Until Next Time,. My older daug...
