My hobby has rapidly grown into what is best described as an obsession but fortunately it is something the whole family can enjoy, my daughter even carries a 'swarm kit' in her car just in case!

Contact Cross Keys Bees. This swarm took me slightly by surprise. The tree had become rotten and all down its centre were strings of comb and bees, over a metre in length. To even approach getting these bees out I was definitely going to need to open the tree, and fortunately due to the recent winds a falling branch had started that for me and the owner was happy for the tree to be cut open. I have only done a few market stalls but I will be attending more in the future to showcase and sell our products.

The local young farmers club from Terrington came to visit my apiary. We went through the hives and I gave them a demonstartion and explanations whilst they looked and approached the bees. On May 1, 1966, Cross Keys Baptist Chapel started with the first service in the living room of a seven room brick house that today is called the HamiltonHouse which is still on the property and is used to house missionaries who are on furlough.
